Episode 7 features my friend Chanel Kenner of @FitFabWellbyChanel.
Chanel is a certified nutrition coach and clinical nutrition student on a track to become a registered dietitian. She is also a wife and mama bear to a sweet, curious and funny 9-month-old Sophie. She writes for A Sweat Life about all things Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle and contributes to Nutrition-related articles on publications, like Reader’s Digest. She recently launched a podcast “Learned, Heard and Stirred” but it’s more of a sporadic hobby at this time, due to mom, school and work life demands.
We chat about:
- Focusing on proper nutrition before, during and after pregnancy (and beyond)– we should make health a priority regardless of our baby, weight/body goals
- What foods are safe for pregnant/breastfeeding moms (any questions you have or that come up on your ig/blog would be awesome to guide the topic)
- The importance of being your own advocate– in our healthcare system and when it comes to researching the validity of info online (Maybe we can talk a bit about my experience with thyroiditis since it’s something many moms/to-be should be aware of)
- The best hormone testing options available (blood, saliva, dutch urine), and why every woman should make hormone health a priority
