I’ve been SLACKING majorly on my skin care regime lately. By the time Lizzie gets into bed, Mama literally just wants to crawl into bed and pass out. BUT Tanna Piniarski of Tanna Beauty, mentioned she was launching new face masks, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to get back on track. I break down her two new masks for your below in a Q+A with Tanna!
BRIGHTEN + GLOW MASK
What is the purpose of brighten and glow mask?
Brighten & Glow is our exfoliating mask. It helps get rid of dead skin cells, which in return allows product to absorb more easily and gives skin a nice glow. It is also high in Vitamin C which helps neutralize free radicals, regenerates new skin cells, and helps with skin discoloration.
What are the ingredients?
Pumpkin, bamboo powder, pineapple fruit powder, kakadu plum extract, sandalwood powder, turmeric powder, and cinnamon
What makes these ingredients beneficial to the skin?
Pumpkin is a natural source of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA’s). AHA’s are generally used to exfoliate skin but also help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and prevents breakouts. Kakadu plum is known to have 10 times the amount of vitamin c found in other fruits. Pineapple is also high in vitamin c and is a natural exfoliator. Vitamin C is one of the most essential ingredients in slowing down the aging process. It helps brighten skin, stimulates collagen, and helps repair skin. Bamboo provides a mild physical exfoliation that removes impurities and allows skin to breath. Sandalwood and turmeric both brighten skin, help with inflammation, and prevent acne. We also use a little bit of cinnamon to stimulate circulation.
Why is clean beauty important for you?
Our skin is our biggest organ. I want to make sure what I am using is safe. Research is showing that so many of the ingredients that we have been using our whole lives are causing cancer, or leading to other issues. This is why I only use 100% natural ingredients. I know there are ingredients out there that aren’t natural and are still safe and very beneficial, but I have found that this works for my own skin. That is why I want to share it with everyone else : )
How do you use it this mask since its a powder?
Super easy! Mix 1/2- 1 TBSP of powder with a few drops of warm water or liquid of your choice until it is the consistency you want. Leave on about 10 minutes or until it’s almost dry and rinse off with warm water. You may have a little bit of redness after. Perfectly normal. Follow up with the Cacao Shroom mask or Flora Hydramist.

CACAO SHROOM
What is the purpose of cacao shroom mask? Cacao Shroom is our comfort mask. It is a blend of cacao, adaptogens, and herbs that nourish and calm stressed skin.
What are the ingredients?
Cacao powder, colloidal oats, reishi mushroom, cordyceps, chaga mushroom, ashwagandha root powder, maca root powder, chamomile powder, and green tea powder.
What makes these ingredients beneficial to the skin?
Cacao powder is a potent anti-inflammatory. It also is high in antioxidants that protect and repair skin. Colloidal oats are super nourishing. They provide hydration and help calm skin. Reishi, cordyceps, and chaga are also high in antioxidants and soothe inflammation. Ashwagandha has both antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. This helps prevent acne. Maca helps stimulate collagen. Chamomile and green tea both help reduce puffiness and redness, fight premature aging, protect skin, and also help fight acne.
Do you use these products back to back?I always recommend using the products back to back. The Cacao Shroom mask helps calm the skin after exfoliating. If not, we recommend using our Flora Hydramist or Beauty Elixir after.
Anything else we should know?
We love mixing the Cacao Shroom mask with coconut milk and honey for the liquid. This provides a little extra hydration and has antibacterial properties to help prevent acne. You can also get the masks as a set on our website for $40. You save $4 when you buy both.
