Episode 52 features Amanda Sigh, founder of sustainable fashion company Jean Franklin. The brand is Los Angeles based and all of the production takes place there as well. Jean Franklin represents empowerment, femininity, sustainability and functionality. They sell made-to-order pieces, vintage pieces as well as some home goods. Their pieces are designed for all shapes and sizes.
Amanda is doing important work to raise awareness of the incredible amount of waste the fashion industry produces every year. She prides herself in fair pay (which is still a big issue in the U.S.) and only uses deadstock fabrics that would otherwise be sent to the landfill by other fashion houses.
