Contrary to the namesake of this drink, it is not a cocktail….more like a mocktail that aims to support your adrenals with hydration, electrolyte support and hormone stability. But let’s back up a bit.
Many of us are living busy on the go lives that results in stress, stress, stress. We all know that stress affects the body but when one is in a chronically stressed state – our adrenals respond with greater amounts of cortisol being released. Excess cortisol can affect our metabolism, immune system, blood pressure and beyond.
So what can we do? One way to support your adrenals is to support it with a cocktail made with vitamin c, potassium and sodium.
There are so many ways to make an adrenal cocktail to your liking. Here are some options for each of the nutrients:
Vitamin C: Lemon/Lime juice, Orange juice, pineapple juice, guava juice
Potassium: Aloe Vera Juice, Coconut water, Cream of Tartar
Sodium: Crucial four sea salt
